What’s Wrong with White Rice? 

White rice is sweet, flavourful and soft, and is enjoyed by most. However, white rice is highly polished, being stripped of its bran (outer layer) and germ. The bran contains lots of beneficial nutrients such as fibre and vitamins. What is left of white rice is the rice endosperm (white rice grain). Therefore, white rice lacks essential nutrients and other vitamins and minerals, and is also easily digested which results in blood sugar spikes. White rice thus has a high Glycaemic Index (GI), which is unfavourable especially for diabetics. as well as those at risk of developing diabetes. Consumption of high GI foods on a regular basis increases the risk of developing type 2 diabetes.​

Alchemy Fibre™  For Rice – Cooking Instructions

Wash and drain rice. Add water as desired afterwards.

ADD IN

Measure 15g (1 heaped tablespoon) of Alchemy Fibre™️ For Rice with every cup of rice (150g) used. Add Alchemy Fibre™️ For Rice to soaked rice, stir well to dissolve the powder.

Cook as you normally would in a rice cooker or steam over a stove.
