YANGZHOU FRIED RICE

Simple, yet full of flavor. This is one of the easiest ways to prepare delicious fried rice using ingredients that can be commonly found in households

  • 600g of white rice with Alchemy Fibre™ (cooled)

  • 1 egg (large, beaten)

  • 8 shrimps (deshelled)

  • 35g of green peas

  • 35g of carrots

  • 30g of ham/chicken or any meat of choice

  • 15g of vegetable oil

  • 1 pinch of salt

  • Dash of ground white pepper

  • 5g of light soy sauce

  • Dice the meat, shrimps and carrots. Beat the egg with a pinch of salt and pepper.

  • Separate the rice grains for easier frying.

  • Heat up cooking oil in a non-stick frying pan. Add in meat, shrimps and stir fry until they are slightly cooked. Add in green peas, carrot and stir fry for 1-2 minutes.

  • Add in rice and stir fry slightly for 1 minute.

  • Make a hole in the centre and pour in beaten egg. Continue to stir fry everything together for 1-2 minutes until well incorporated.

  • Season with salt, white pepper, soy sauce and you’re ready to serve.
