Why head to a Japanese restaurant when you can create your own recipe for family-friendly Maki Roll now?

For the Maki:


  • 460g of sushi rice with Alchemy Fibre™ (cooked)

  • 60ml of rice vinegar

  • 4 nori sheets


For the topping:


  • 8 pieces of imitation crab

  • 1 cucumber

  • 1 avocado

  • 10g of sesame seeds

  • Season sushi rice with rice vinegar and mix until well incorporated.

  • Slice cucumber and avocado into thin slices.

  • Place a sheet of nori on a rolling mat. Wet your hand with cold water and grab a handful of rice and spread it evenly on the nori.

  • Flip the nori so that the nori side is facing upwards.

  • Arrange imitation crabs, avocado and cucumber neatly on the nori sheet.

  • Grabbing both the nori and the mat, tightly squeeze and roll the maki to form a tight roll.

  • Transfer the roll on a cutting board and slice the roll into equal portions

  • Serve with soy sauce and wasabi.
